At the weekend Fernando ( my better half ) and myself took my brother ( max) on a hike and pic nic on Box Hill. My brother had never been there before and due to his upcoming move to Columbia we thought this would be the last chance to see it and the perfect way to say fare well 😦
Fernando and I visit this beautiful piece of gods green earth every year, usually on the first weekend of July, when summer has arrived but its still not to hot to hike.
is a summit of the North Downs in Surrey, approximately 30 km south west of London. The hill takes its name from the ancient box woodland found on the steepest west-facing chalk slopes overlooking the River Mole.
What we love most about Box Hill are two things in particular – 1. The Hikes! followed by a well earned pic nic 🙂
2.The peaceful green landscape and views.
I guess we really appreciate the greenery more than any other time of year on this yearly visit to box hill because it is usually the first time we venture out into the country side each year after the long bleak winter! so seeing all the green again is like christmas come early.
Till next year good-bye BOX HILL 🙂
